Kids Choice–Everyone Welcome
As a result of the announcement that students will be distance learning through the end of the school year due to COVID-19, we will continue to offer kid-friendly bags of food to all families of school-age children through the month of May. These bags will be available during our normal distribution hours -Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday mornings from 10:30 to 12:30. Children do not need to be present as we are still following our COVID-19 procedures of only allowing one family member in the food shelf at a time.
Buffalo Food Shelf, in coordination with WCCA (Wright County Community Action) will be providing: free, frozen, heat and eat meals to Seniors 60+. These meals are generated by Catholic Charities. Meals come in individualized packages of 10. Meals maybe picked up at the Buffalo Food Shelf or received through free home delivery. In order for Seniors to qualify you must complete a NAPIS form to allow continued funding of the program. Seniors will have an opportunity to complete the NAPIS form on Senior Monday, April 5, at the Buffalo Food Shelf. Or any time we are open. Or you may call WCCA at 320-963-6500, ext 274, Eric Nagel. I have attached the link for online registration.
This year is Feeding America’s 40th anniversary and with more than 40 million people receiving food assistance, we are calling on everyone to act. Help us reach our goal of 40,000 actions by volunteering, donating or posting on social media. This September, we can all do our part to end hunger – one helping at a time.
Will you join in?
Every Action Counts
During Hunger Action Month, the Feeding America network of 200 food banks challenge you to help hit our goal of 40,000 actions to end hunger. With every action, we get one step closer to making hunger in America a thing of the past. It all starts with you!
