This year is Feeding America’s 40th anniversary and with more than 40 million people receiving food assistance, we are calling on everyone to act. Help us reach our goal of 40,000 actions by volunteering, donating or posting on social media. This September, we can all do our part to end hunger – one helping at a time.
Will you join in?
Every Action Counts
During Hunger Action Month, the Feeding America network of 200 food banks challenge you to help hit our goal of 40,000 actions to end hunger. With every action, we get one step closer to making hunger in America a thing of the past. It all starts with you!
Dan Krolak is our 2019 Volunteer of the Year. Dan has been recognized as the Nancy Campbell Community Service Award recipient. The award’s namesake recognizes Nancy Campbell for her service to the food shelf as well as her other work in the community. Dan is our “morning guy” working food rescue and Second Harvest deliveries three times a week. At 81 years young, Dan also volunteers at the Buffalo Toy Shop, and assists at Park View Care Center bingo twice a week.
The Food Shelf thanks Dan, and all of our many volunteers.
How AWESOME is this!
Thanks to the Buffalo Community for putting the Buffalo Food Shelf in the #3 spot of the Top 10 for the March Campaign!
