Thank you for choosing to donate your time with us here at the Buffalo Food Shelf. Without volunteers like you, it would be impossible for us to be successful in the fight against hunger within our community.
Each individual volunteer must register on their own to allow us to keep accurate track of hours per volunteer.
Giving by the general public and by local businesses helps ensure our food shelf and the programs we offer are viable. But it also requires the commitment of many friends and volunteers to successfully meet the ongoing hunger and food insecurity needs in our community. Are you available to join our work, as your schedule allows?
Guest Intake Coordinators
Other opportunities available by appointment
All it takes is a servant’s heart; a readiness to put your needs aside in order to help others; a willingness to serve others by interacting with food shelf guests; and a desire to be part of a food shelf team that is caring, respectful, confidential, and fun.
If you are unable to volunteer in-person, we hope you’ll consider a financial donation to help expand our outreach opportunities.

You also must be willing to provide all of the information regarding the court order and/or probation officer information for follow-up by our organization on your first volunteer shift. We need your documents to specifically list your offense. Please let us know upon arrival that you are court ordered so we can enter your information into our system for tracking. This Information is confidential. Please download our Court Ordered Form and return to us for consideration.
