POST UPDATED MONDAY, MAY 4, 2020

To protect our clients and volunteers, Buffalo Food Shelf implemented the following policy effective ‪Monday, March 16, 2020‬:

1. Only 5 clients will be allowed inside the food shelf building at a time. All others will need to remain inside their vehicle.

2. Only 1 household member will be allowed inside the building. Please refrain from bringing children. While inside the building, please keep a minimum of 6 feet between other persons inside the food shelf. We encourage all to wear a cloth face covering while inside the food shelf.

3. If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please send another adult to pick up for you.

Our volunteers are sanitizing all items and surfaces that have been touched, including carts, pens, and chairs. Cloth face coverings and gloves are being provided for our volunteers – or please feel free to bring your own!

We are following guidelines provided by The Food Group and ask that ALL clients and volunteers do NOT come to the food shelf if any of the following apply:

If they have traveled out of state within the last 14 days.

If they have had a fever, sore throat, or shortness of breath in the last 14 days.

If they have been around anyone with previous symptoms or that have tested positive for COVID-19 or Influenza A or B.

We may need to change this policy or implement new ones during this unprecedented and ever-changing time.

Thank you to our clients & volunteers for doing your part in helping to keep our food shelf healthy and safe for everyone.
