The Mason’s Food Drive is running now, through February 28th, 2025!

On January 1st, The Buffalo area Masonic lodge, Nelson Lodge No 135 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, partnering with another Masonic appendant body, The Order of the Eastern Star, Galilee Chapter No 53, began its 14th Annual Food Shelf Funding Drive. This year’s drive runs through February 28, 2025. Since 2012, the Masons have been able to raise over $412,000 for Buffalo Food Shelf.

How you can help donate to the food shelf in your community:

Make your donation by writing a check payable to Nelson Masonic Lodge No 135., or Galilee Chapter No 53. Do not make your check payable to the food shelf. In the memo area of your check, write Buffalo Food Shelf. Drop your donation off at Old National Bank or mail it to: Old National Bank; Attn: Masons Food Shelf Drive, 910 Commercial Dr, Buffalo, MN. 55313. 100% of your donation will be given to the food shelf. The Mason’s will make the donation to the food shelf in March, so that the food shelf can include the donation as part of the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign. How simple can this be to really make an impact on your local food shelf program? Your donation may be tax deductible, please consult your tax advisor and keep your canceled check as your donation receipt. A formal receipt will be mailed out to the address on the check so you can keep the check and receipt together as proof of donation.
