One of the biggest needs for the food shelf is volunteers. When you decide to donate your time to the Buffalo Food Shelf, you are helping us towards our goal of feeding every family in need within our community.
Available Positions
We have many opportunities for people to get involved at the food shelf. Are you a student or organization looking for volunteer hours? Or maybe a concerned community-member looking for a way to help?

Front Desk
You will be assisting clients in shopping for the food items that they need from the food shelf.
You will be collecting necessary information from the clients and completing required documentation.

You need to be 15 years old to volunteer. 13 and 14 year old’s are allowed with a parent or guardian present.

Court Mandated Community Service Policy
All court mandated community service must be scheduled in advance. We do not accept individuals with charges that involve an act of violence.
Please request a minimum of 7 days before wanting to volunteer. We do not accept walk-ins for court mandated service.
We may request additional information including the specific offense committed and the case number of the offense.
Upon completion of hours, please allow 72 hours for verification and completion letters.
